Monday's Best Bets: Some winners before Goodwood?

Tippin' Jimmy runs us down Monday's card, he will give selections from EVERY race at Glorious Goodwood this week!

4:00 Ayr - Weekend Offender (2/1)
One who I have been keeping a close eye on is Weekend Offender for Kevin Ryan. He ran a very good race at the start of the season, finishing a close third behind George William and G K Chesterton. He hasn't stepped up too much in two efforts since, but today could be the day he gets back on track.

7:15 Windsor - Al Barg (11/10)
Richard Hannon's nicely bred two-year-old can justify favouritism in this competitive event at Windsor. He ran a stormer on debut, proving his quality when second against two very good prospects. He should come on a lot for that experience, and I am expecting a big run from him.

8:30 Wolverhampton - Dubai Elegance (6/1)
Another nicely bred horse is Dubai Elegance, who makes her first start of the season in the Midlands. She stepped up from a promising debut, to win a decent maiden in impressive style. On her handicap debut she struggled, and should put in a much better effort today.

Sunday's Best Bets: The trainer's told me he's a certainty

Tippin' Jimmy picks out his three best bets for Sunday's racing.

2:40 Munich (GER) - Best Solution (8/1)
He was a really impressive winner of Lingfield's Derby Trial, but just hasn't lived up to that promise on two starts since. Although this is a Group One, it isn't too competitive and he gets a nice weight allowance in this. I do think he's good enough, and should give a good account of himself.

3:30 Pontefract - Tashweeq (11/4) NAP
John Gosden's promising four-year-old is a bit of an uncertainty in terms of form, but he does have the most potential in this very weak listed contest. He was a good third in the Royal Hunt Cup, but just didn't run his race at all in the Bunbury Cup. He's always had a bit more weight on his back than some of his rivals, so a switch to listed company may be a good move

4:45 Uttoxeter - Aerlite Supreme (8/1)
I thought he may have a fair chance, before I spoke to trainer Evan Williams. He told me he was a 'racing certainty' so you have to feel maybe there is something more to come from him. He has been running well, but just didn't stay the three mile trip last time out. He gets ideal conditions, and a drop down in trip so could live up to expectations.

Saturday's Best Bets: All the tips from King George Day, and an Accurate outsider

Tippin' Jimmy previews all of Ascot's King George card, and some other fancies around the UK.

1:50 Ascot - Nyaleti (5/2)
One of the leading young fillies in training is Nyaleti, who has established her place in the ranks after two second place finishes behind Ballydoyle stars Clemmie and September. She does look like she is up to this, and I would expect her to like the ground and run a big race.

2:25 Ascot - Alwahsh (9/1)
William Haggas' three-year-old was a very impressive maiden winner only a month ago, and fully deserves his chance in this competitive handicap contest. He destroyed the field by seven lengths at Nottingham, and has been gifted a good opening mark for that win. Breeding suggests he should be okay with any rain, and I am expecting a fine performance.

3:00 Ascot - Fawaareq (12/1)
Jim Crowley must have been thinking about this mount all week as he slimmed down to make the low weight. Fawaareq is well drawn, proven on the ground and has a nice handicap mark. The rather unexposed four-year-old should still be progressing after two decent second place efforts.

Jack Hobbs was an impressive winner in Dubai

3:35 Ascot (King George) - Jack Hobbs (5/1) , Idaho (12/1) ew
Jack Hobbs will get ideal conditions at Ascot today, and I do think that will work in his favour a lot. He was impressive when winning in Dubai, and that form is exceptionally strong in this contest. You can draw a line through Royal Ascot, and expect a much better showing today.

I do really rate Idaho as a horse, and I was delighted when he scooped up the Hardwicke last time out. He is one who will relish the ground today, and is really starting to improve as a middle distancer.

4:10 Ascot - Tigre Du Terre (2/1), Being There (13/2) ew
I always like it when a trainer gets a buzz about a young horse, and Richard Hannon certainly does about this one. He oozed class when winning in fine style at this track here a fortnight ago and should be up to winning again. It is a lot tougher, but he's certainly one going the right way.

Being There is certainly a big danger, although his debut wasn't the most impressive he did look like the class act in the field. There is a lot more to come from him.

4:45 Ascot - Just An Idea (20/1) ew, Accurate (40/1) ew
Just An Idea has got some good form in the book, and does look to be improving. She like soft ground, and should appreciate the extra furlong today. Her fourth place effort in a listed contest stacks up well here, and I would hope for a good run.

Accurate may spring a really big surprise in this, especially if the rain continues to come in Berkshire. He has been really poor in his last three starts, but a return to his best certainly puts him back in to contention.

5:20 Ascot - Dark Pearl (4/1) , Atkinson Grimshaw (5/1) ew
The closing race does look a tricky one to find the winner, but I am hoping its Dark Pearl. With the weather still up in arms, he is one who should deal with anything and he is stepping in the right direction. He won nicely in maiden company last time out, and should be able to make a bold bid.

Atkinson Grimshaw is another progressive type, and may well be able to continue his improvement in this weak handicap contest.

Tippin' Jimmy has three selections on the card from Salisbury

5:45 Salisbury - Saroog (9/4)
I was so taken by Saroog's Newbury debut, and he deserved to go a lot closer than his third place finish suggests. He wasn't beaten too far that day, and had no passage throughout the race at all. If he had more space I do think he would've won. I am expecting a better result this afternoon.

6:45 Salisbury - Paint (9/1)
After a less than impressive debut, I am expecting more to come from Paint for Richard Hannon. She's clearly got some talent and will need to show a lot more, but this isn't the toughest of races.

7:45 Salisbury - Inconceivable (7/2)
Another I kept an eye on at Newbury was this one, who got going far too late and should now have a bold chance over this longer trip. He is a full brother to Eye Of The Storm who was good on all ground which is a bonus, and I do expect him to finally win.

Friday's Best Bet: UAE can be King at Ascot

1:40 Ascot - Indicia (5/2) NAP
I have heard some strong vibes about Charlie Hills' two-year-old, and after an encouraging second I expect him to break his maiden here today.

2:20 Thirsk - Juliet Capulet (6/4)
This improving John Gosden prospect should now be winning, now switched to handicap company. She ran very well when third at Newmarket, and should go well today.

2:45 Ascot - UAE King (11/8)
He has won the last two quite impressively, and I fancy him to add further success today. He should deal with the longer trip, and I like his chances.

Thursday's Best Bets: Every tip from Newbury

5:25 Yarmouth - Harba (4/9)
A brilliant horse for me last week, and should follow up once again here. He won very impressively by seven lengths and I would him to win once again.

5:30 Newbury - Meyandi (11/4)
I was unsure about this race until I saw the weights, and this favourite should be hard to beat. He's run creditably in maiden company and was last seen finishing second at Southwell, a long way off Pealer. That horse went straight to the Derby, finished last but won a good handicap in good style. It's hard to judge his form, but it is certainly good enough for this.

6:00 Newbury - Tathmeen (4/5)
Normally I am all over maidens like this, but this looks competitve but if I had to go for one it would be the odds on shot. He has been improving, and deserves his chance in this contest.

6:30 Newbury - Miss Mo Brown Bear (3/1)
A horse with plenty of ability and showing all the right signs at home is this three-year-old filly. She has been desperately unlucky when beaten by inches the last two runs. She should give a much better account of herself.

7:05 Newbury - Baashiq (9/2)
Roger Varian's nice prospect competes in what looks a very strong contest in Berkshire. He won a very good maiden at the end of last year, before a good third place effort at Haydock last year. That run was promising and he probably needed the outing. He's progressive and can run well.

7:35 Newbury - Medicean Ballet (7/2)
This horse has plenty of improvement in her, and made a promising return at Sandown when fourth. She was held up and the race worked out in favour of the front runners, she should improve a lot from that run and I am expecting a strong performance. The Godolphin horse is a big danger.

8:05 Newbury - Harbour Grey (16/1)
Richard Hannon thinks highly of this horse, and I really am expecting a big return from this nice three-year-old. His filly won a good maiden back in April, and hasn't really had the chance to show what she is capable of since. She was pulled-up and injured at York, and was just too slow away to do any damage here earlier this month. I am expecting a much better performance.

8:40 Newbury - Samarmadi NAP (Evs)
This should be straight forward for Hugo Palmer's colt. He had been gelded before his second place run at Wolverhampton, and he will come on a lot for that run. He's the bet of the day, at a poor price.

Wednesday's Best Bets: Be ready for a swansong

2:20 Lingfield - Zabaletaswansong (4/1)
Richard Hannon's two-year-old should now be given an ideal opportunity to get his head in front after a series of good efforts. He was last seen finishing fourth at Chelmsford, where the form of the race has worked out strongly. He won't have to do too much more to have a bold chance today.

6:35 Sandown - Almoreb (2/1) NAP
I was very disappointed with his most recent effort at this track on Eclipse day, and I am just waiting for the day he shows his real best and wins. He has got quality, which he's shown when winning at Newbury. He's been underperforming as a handicapper, and I look forward to seeing his real best.

9:00 Naas - Psychedelic Funk (5/4)
Last season's Coventry Stakes third needs plenty of respect and should return to winning ways in Ireland this evening. He was last seen finishing third at Leopardstown, but he is clearly much better than that form suggests. His second to Caravaggio is strong form, and if he can handle a mile will be too good to take this.

2:00 Ffos Las - Move Over (7/1)
Expectations are pretty high that this two-year-old should enjoy a good season for Richard Hannon and Middleham Park Racing. He hasn't quite lived up to expectations just yet, but can be given a chance once again. His debut fourth at York was encouraging, but has taken a step back in visits to Lingfield and Chelmsford. He needs to step up, but could have a big chance. My main worry is Rhosneigr.

2:45 Musselburgh - Dontgiveuponbob (9/4)
As this iconic name suggests you shouldn't give up on him after a string of good efforts for Richard Fahey. He was last seen finishing well when second at York, only beaten by a nice looking Godolphin prospect. The step up to seven should help, and he can be seriously competitive.

5:30 Ffos Las - Del Parco (7/2)
Unlucky not to get his head in front, Del Parco can enjoy his first success in the closing race of the day in Wales. Clive Cox's three-year-old finished fourth in handicap company last time, but may prefer the conditions this afternoon.

7:20 Nottingham - Dark Power (4/1) NAP
Clive Cox and Adam Kirby team up with this nice sprinting prospect who should be more than capable of striking at this level. He was last seen seriously underperforming at Windsor, he'll prefer the softer conditions and can return back to winning ways today.

3:05 Ayr - Holmeswood (3/1)
One sprinter who deserves to earn a second career victory is Holmeswood. He drops down to five furlongs, but didnt run too badly over six last time out. He's improving and drops a 1lb, he should be able to get back to winning ways.

6:15 Windsor - Ortiz (7/2)
I have heard some good things about this horse, and I am quietly confident he can win on debut for Henry Candy. Most of his rivals have racecourse experience, whilst they all still need to step up. The form is weak, and I am expecting a bold bid from this debutant.

6:25 Beverley - Special Purpose (4/7) NAP
Out of super sire Scat Daddy, this nice prospect for William Haggas should extend his record after a winning debut. He was an exciting Lingfield winner, and has enough about him to defy a penalty.

8:15 Windsor - Graphite (14/1) ew
He is bred very well, coming out of dual Group One winning Simply Perfect. His maiden effort was disapointing when third at this track, but he should improve and can play a main role.

2:00 Redcar - Arbalet (4/7)
Hugo Palmer told me this was his most promising two-year-old in training, and I am fully expecting Arbalet to break his maiden today. He has finished second on his last two appearances, and should have far too much quality to take this weak novices' affair.

2:10 Stratford - Champagne City (1/2)
A horse that I have been following over the jumps is Champagne City for Tom George. He was very handy on the flat and won his last two starts over hurdles, and bids for a third today. His last victory came over the course and distance, and he should be able to extend his record.

3:55 Fairyhouse - Barca (11/4)
One for Ballydoyle who hasn't quite lived up to high expectations is Barca, however this three-year-old is going the right way and should be too good in this maiden contest. He has been placed on two occasions, is improving and should live up to his fine breeding and large price tag.

5:00 Redcar - Flourishing (7/4)
I spoke to David Redvers about this horse on Friday, and you could tell how much the Qatar team like her in his voice. She won very well at Chester last time out, breaking her maiden by no less than four and a half lengths. Prior to that she was a neck second to Harba (who you may remember was tipped by us on Thursday), he won his handicap debut by six lengths. She may be something exciting.

Saturday's Best Bets: Bet prepared for the Best Of Days

After a 8-1 winning tip in Prestbury Park, there isn't too much taking Tippin' Jimmy's fancy this afternoon.

2:25 Newbury - Best Of Days (7/2)
Hugo Palmer is represented by Best Of Days who should return to his best after an outing at Royal Ascot last month. He missed out on the classics, but sets the standard on his encouraging Royal Lodge victory. He should improve, and if he progresses should have a good chance.

3:35 Newbury - Zalshah ew (22/1)
My best bet is probably the favourite, Maggies Angel. But there is one for the each-way backers. Richard Hannon and Ryan Moore is a formidable duo, and they team up with Zalshah who I feel has a bit more ability than we've seen. He's yet to win in four efforts, and should be able to pick up some each-way money.

3:50 Newmarket - Manchego (16/1)
I realise he is out of the handicap, and Josephine is going 2lb overweight but I was really really taken by this horse. He won very well at Wolverhampton in maiden company, but struggled over a long distance when last seen at Newbury. Over a mile at Newmarket looks ideal for him, and I am expecting him to have a huge each-way chance.

4:10 Newbury - Oliver Reed (5/1) NAP
Another for Richard Hannon and Ryan Moore, this two-year-old ran an encouraging debut when fifth at this track. That run wasn't too bad and he should improve a lot from it, I know he's thought quite highly of. If he can live up to expectations he should run very well.

4:45 Newbury - Pavillion (3/1)
Clive Cox's filly certainly has ability, and I expect her to give a good account of herself. She was disappointing on her turf debut, and I would expect to see a much better performance from her today. It's not the best handicap and she's given a nice weight too.

Friday's Best Bets: The Stage is set for Magic in this Lucky 15

1:50 Haydock - African Friend (5/2)
To win after an absence is never an easy thing to do, but class prevailed and I do think African Friend is one to follow. He did only win by a neck, but he should come on a lot for that run. Ideally he will want some rain in Lancashire, but he is progressive and should be more than capable of winning offf this mark.

2:10 Newbury - Stage Magic (Evs) NAP
This horse is a maiden winner in waiting for Godolphin. He made a really encouraging debut at Haydock which certainly caught the eye. He ran green before powering home really quickly, and only lost out by a neck. He should improve a lot from the run, and even though this does look competitive should go one better.

2:20 Haydock - Prestbury Park (8/1)
A popular named horse for Mark Johnston, is a really good price considering what looks brilliant breeding. He's out of a Group One winner, and sired by Shamardal. His debut looked to be going very smoothly before he just dropped off very quickly. He will need to improve a lot, but that was only an education, and he's got bags of potential.

3:50 Newbury - Natural (8/1)
I was so gutted about this horse's very poor performance at Royal Ascot, and I really hope she can return to her best today. She won her debut in really good style, showing enough on debut to make her look like a real top class filly. This is another tough ask, but I am expecting a much better performance.

6:40 Newmarket - Time Arrow (13/2)
It's taken an age for Sir Michael Stoute to get this three-year-old to win, and now he has he could be a major player to strike again. He finished second best on four occasions before winning at Thirsk. That form is quite strong, and leaves him in a good position on his handicap debut.

£1 Lucky 15 (African Friend/Stage Magic/ Prestbury Park/ Natural) returns over £1100

Thursday's Best Bets: Be prepared to Battle

Tippin' Jimmy enjoyed three wins from five tips yesterday, and is hoping these hot fancies can win.

3:35 Hamilton - Hochfeld (5/6)
One three-year-old who certainly looks to be going the right way is Hochfeld, he won easily and cantered clear only five days ago and should follow up despite a rise in the weights. His 9lb rise is fair, but this doesn't look the strongest of races and he should be far too good yet again.

5:50 Leopardstown - Battle Of Jericho (10/11)
One of the day's best bets comes in the form of this excitingly bred Ballydoyle prospect. He ran nicely on debut to finish third at this track behind the two joint favourites. On his next start, Ryan Moore jumped on him, to miss out on eventual winner US Navy Flag. He could only finish fourth that day, but the booking suggests they expected a lot more. He should be too good for this field, providing he can step up a little.

6:30 Epsom - Dichato (10/11)
John Gosden's advancing two-year-old looks good enough to finally get his head in front after two very close attempts. He's been beaten narrowly at Newmarket on his last two starts, and today could be the day he finally breaks his maiden. He's yet another that lured in Ryan Moore on his last start, the signs are all too pleasing for the son of super sire Scat Daddy.

7:15 Doncaster - Shootingthe Breeze (4/1)
After an encouraging effort at Haydock a fortnight ago, this looks another hot prospect set for a maiden victory. He is bred very well, and finished fourth at the Lancashire venue when still quite green. If he can settle and mature, he could be the one to land the spoils.

£2 Yankee (£22 in total) returns £240.

Wednesday's Best Bets: Be a Cheeky Rascal, and have a Lucky 15

On what looks a great Thursday card, Tippin' Jimmy has a few interesting bets.

4:20 Catterick - Khitaamy (11/10) NAP
In a weak maiden contest, this Ed Dunlop juvenile should be too good. He hasn't shown his best in three starts, and I feel there may be just a bit more to come from him today. His debut was encouraging, but then he tired him when chasing a good Godolphin horse at Kempton. Last time out he was quite keen. If he can settle he should go very well.

6:35 Sandown - Cheeky Rascal (7/1)
In what doesn't look the hottest races, Richard Hannon may be able to strike with Cheeky Rascal who looks to be improving. He made a respectable debut at Leicester when finishing sixth, before improving significantly to take third spot at Epsom last time out. He didn't deal too well with the track, and was beaten by some well bred prospects when beaten half-a-length. That form is very strong, and he could be hard to beat at a big price.

6:45 Yarmouth - Brorocco (3/1)
Andrew Balding told me he thought very highly of this horse a few months back, and sadly he hasn't delivered at all. He was massively unlucky when fifth at Epsom, when short for room but underperformed when only defeating three rivals at York last time out. He's been dropped 1lb by the handicapper and should be far too good, if he shows his true colours. Another Eclipse is a big danger.

7:05 Sandown - Harba (5/4)
A daughter to the brilliant Frankel, this William Haggas filly should have no trouble winning off this mark. She finally broke her maiden at Beverley last time out, and she may improve from that outing. She has been handed a fair handicap mark, and should be up to this.

7:40 Sandown - Make Time (15/8)
This horse was last seen running in the Greenham Stakes at Newbury, and had been fancied to be good enough for the 2000 Guineas. Sadly, he only finished seventh that day and he hasn't been since that defeat. I don't know if there have been problems since, and he is coming back from an absence. But with expectations set so high, he may have too much class in this handicap contest.

Tuesday's Best Bets: Please Breeze

2:15 Beverley – Ben My Chree (5/2)

Trained by Bryan Smart, this nicely bred two-year-old enjoyed a pleasing debut when fourth at this track earlier this month. He wasn’t beaten too far despite failing to place in the maiden affair, and he should benefit significantly from that run. If he can step up and improve, he should play a leading role.

5:50 Killarney – Breeze (10/3)

Please Breeze, today has to be the day! A great performer, but never does enough seems to be the motto for this horse who has failed to strike in five efforts. He was hugely below par at Roscommon last time out, and if he can take a step forward he should go well.

7:10 Thirsk – Blushing Red NAP (15/8)

One horse who should be much better than his last effort suggests is Blushing Red. Ed Dunlop’s three-year-old could only defeat one rival at Sandown last time out, but prior to that posted some solid efforts when fourth in handicaps. This is the weakest handicap he may have raced in, and with a drop of 2lb he should be the best.

Best Bet: £5 trixie returns £406.

Monday's Best Bets: Sapphire set to sparkle

5:45 Ffos Las – Hungarian Lady (3/1)

Trained by Jamie Osbourne, this improving three-year-old switches from maiden company to handicaps and should have a good chance. His opening mark is a fair 57, which considering his breeding and two second place efforts is very kind. He is improving and this does look an ideal opportunity for him to strike.

7:00 Killarney – Asking (2/1)

Aidan O’Brien’s star three-year-old filly has been running well at group level and could get her head in front once again in this weak listed event. She won a handicap in good style on her penultimate start, before finishing third at Fairyhouse. She wasn’t beaten too far, when short of room and with more luck she could run a big race.

9:00 Killarney – Sapphire Lady NAP (11/10)

Willie Mullins has had plenty of top mares over the years, and there’s every chance Sapphire Lady could be a future star. She was a short priced favourite when powering clear on debut at Ballinrobe, and she has to be fancied to follow up once again. She should improve from that run, and providing the competition isn’t too strong it should be straightforward.

Sunday's Best Bets: An 18/1 shot who 'should run a big race'

Tippin' Jimmy's NAP came in once again yesterday, and he is hoping for more success today.

4:00 Southwell - Western Miller (6/4)
For me there is only one real reason why this horse won't win this race, and that is he ran a week ago. If he is fit, and can still show his true colours he will be too good for this field. He avoids a rise from the handicapper after an easy win at Market Rasen last week, and he looked far better than the field. If he deals with the timing of the race, he should win.

4:10 Perth - Valseur De Granval (3/1)
A horse who deserves his chance in this is certainly this promising chaser. He has run well in novice company at the back end of last season, and started this season with a second place effort in Uttoxeter's Clarke Chase. That was a really competitive race, and although plenty of rivals did fall it is a strong bit of form. His mark is the same, this race is easier and he gets optimum conditions.

4:20 Stratford - Vikekhal (18/1) ew
I'm not one to hang on every word from a trainer, but Gary Moore's words have to be respected. Although a huge price he did run a good race on return from a break, when beaten by Sonneofpresenting, who won (as tipped) earlier in the week, that form is really quite strong. He could live up to his reputation.

5:30 Stratford - Innocent Girl (10/3)
Harry Fry's eight-year-old is a model of consistency, and looks well treated on this mark. I would expect a big run for your money after she finished the year off finishing second at Wincanton. That form is strong in this contest, and if she can run her race she isn't without a chance.

Saturday's Best Bets: It's all about the Here And Now

1:55 York – Weekend Offender (6/1)

Kevin Ryan’s handicapper will win one day, I am sure of it! He was third at the start of the season when beaten by George William and G K Chesterton, who have franked the form since. He was last seen at Hamilton where an error in the stalls scuppered his chances, with more luck he should have a strong claim.

2:50 Newmarket – Afaak (4/1)

One of my horse I have been following very closely is Afaak, he’s bred to be a superstar coming from a 1,000 Guineas winning dam in Ghanaati. He won at a huge price at Doncaster on his penultimate start, before running creditably when seventh at Royal Ascot. This race may suit him a lot better, and this progressive type is more than capable of striking in this field.

3:10 Curragh – Mendelssohn (10/1) ew

This horse is bred to be an absolute super superstar! He is from Scat Daddy, and from a great American sprinting pedigree. It’s his first start and he should improve from the run, but he can certainly be picking up some place money!

3:35 Chester - Here And Now (9/4)

This is one of the best bred three-year-old’s around coming out of Oaks winning Look Here, and although this is a competitive handicap I would be excited by her chances. She beat Stradivarius at Chester when last seen, and he since went on to win the Queen’s Vase. That form is huge in this contest and on this mark he should have a massive chance. I am worried about Hochfeld, however.

5:15 York – The Right Choice (12/1) ew

A horse who hasn’t shown his true promise is The Right Choice, he hasn’t shown much on paper when midfield in his previous three starts. I expect a good showing and potentially some place money.

7:00 Curragh – Air Supremacy (Evs) NAP

After two second place efforts, it should be a case of third time lucky for Aidan O’Brien’s three-year-old. He was only beaten narrowly when last seen at Bellewstown, when short of room. With a clearer passage he would’ve won the race, and I am expecting him to break his maiden in fine style this evening.

8:50 Sailsbury - Billesdon Bess (5/1)

After an encouraging victory at this track a month ago, I expect another big performance from Billesdon Bess. She won well, and although this a competitive handicap she should run well.

Friday's Best Bets: He should be Being There at the end

4:45 Newmarket – Being There (2/1)

Charlie Appleby should pick up the maiden contest as he runs the top two in the betting, but no-one stands out like Being There. A son of a French 1000 Guineas winner, he ran a fine race on debut when second at Newbury. He needed an extra furlong, and the experience which both play to his strengths today. There are some appealing newcomers, but if he can progress he should win.

6:15 Chepstow - Listen Alexander (9/4)

This nice prospect for David Evans may now strike on the fourth attempt of striking, he chased home Out Of The Flames at Windsor who has gone on to finish third at Royal Ascot. Then he went into French listed company and ran respectively, he gets some weight allowance, and should be up to this.

8:05 Navan – Duplication (7/1)

An unexposed Irish prospect who I do feel can progress throughout the season. This is his first run back, and he does carry a big weight, but I think he may have the quality. He won his maiden in good style, before losing out to the horse he beat the next time out. If he’s improved from last season he may be the one they have to beat.

4:25 Doncaster - Beach Break

A horse that has really improved this season in Beach Break, and there should be more to come from Ralph Beckett’s three-year-old. He finished second at Bath on his seasonal bow, before powering home to win by five lengths at Catterick a few months ago. He has had a little break, and he should be too good for this field.

4:35 Newmarket - Jumira Bridge

A handicapper who will get a big prize to his name within time is Jumira Bridge. Roger Varian’s three-year-old has been improving when winning twice at Sandown and Brighton, and placing at listed level. He’s been given a nice handicap mark, and should be up striking here.

5:50 Leopardstown – Conquest

Ballydoyle haven’t had too many debut winners, but Conquest is a very exciting prospect who could buck that trend. She is a full sister to Minding, and is from a great family who have plenty of success as juveniles.

8:05 Newbury – Inconceivable

After four good efforts in maiden company, I am hoping Inconceivable to finally run a big race in this handicap. He’s bred brilliantly, and you can’t help but feel there is more to come from this son of Galileo. His mark is fair, and in this contest he may be able to run a big race.

Our NAP won yesterday, and we are hoping to strike for a second time at Lingfield.

4:20 Yarmouth – Cool Team (6/5)

After a string of consistent efforts, I am expecting Cool Team to finally get his head in front for Hugo Palmer. This isn’t the strongest of contests and his current form should be enough to see him get through this. He won’t need to find too much more, and I expect him to get his head in front.

4:45 Lingfield – One For June (5/4) NAP

I fancied her to win at Newbury a few weeks ago, and she wasn’t beaten too far when fourth on her second start. She didn’t have too much room that day, and deserved to go a bit closer. This isn’t as competitive a contest, and with a bit more luck she should be too good.

8:40 Bath – Dowayla (6/4)

A nice Godolphin colt who seems to be improving is Dowayla. He posted some good form as a juvenile winning his maiden, before struggling in two starts afterwards. Last time out at Ripon he ran well to finish a very close second, only beaten by a nose by an improving prospect. A furlong shorter should benefit, and he looks like a horse on the up.

Tippin’ Jimmy had two winners from three yesterday, can he build on that form with today’s racing.

4:25 Wolverhampton – Narjes (Evs)
I watched Narjes’ last race very closely, and he was very close to ruining my day! Luckily she didn’t, and her head defeat to Dhalam is the strongest bit of form in this race. Her opening mark is very fair and she seems to be gradually getting better now in only her fourth start. This looks a good chance for her to finally strike, after a string of good efforts.

7:15 Brighton – New World Power (3/1)
A horse I’ve been expecting to strike for a long time is New World Power, who has ran well ever since chasing Ulysses home on debut at Newbury. He hasn’t won yet, but finished well to run into second at Thirsk last time out. The form of that race is quite strong, he has an appealing mark and can finally score.

7:35 Uttoxeter – Red Riverman NAP (11/4)
One for the jumps is this nice chaser who should be much better after a comeback run at Cartmel. That run was very strong considering he hadn’t seen a racecourse in over a year. He should improve a lot from the outing, and if he can build on that run he could take some serious beating.

Monday's Best Bets: Start your week with a Breeze

Tippin' Jimmy returns with his midweek three that you should be looking out for this Monday.

2:30 Worcester – Sonneofpresenting (5/2)

Trained by Kim Bailey I would expect a bold running from this improving chaser. He’s impressed me when winning on his last two starts at Market Rasen, before going away very strongly at Fontwell last time out. The handicapper has had his say after that eight length success, but I do think he can continue his fine progression.

7:25 Roscommon – Breeze (5/2) NAP

Today is the day Breeze wins… surely. I have been following him for what feels like an age now, yet this is only his fifth start. He’s bumped into some nice sorts when second in his last two outings, losing too Aidan O’Brien’s Pocketfullofdreams and Puppetshow. There doesn’t seem to be anything of that level in this field, and he can finally break his maiden.

8:25 Windsor - Big Tour (9/4)

This nicely bred Godolphin type can finally strike on the third attempt for Saeed Bin Suroor. An expensive purchase, he improved from a sixth place Kempton effort to chase home an nice looking odds on favourite at Haydock. The form of that race is strong, and may work out even stronger as the season progresses. In this race, he doesn’t face such stiff competition although Hyperloop may well boast a strong chance for William Haggas.

Saturday's Best Bets: More joy for Barney Roy

Tippin Jimmy runs us through a bumper Saturday card, and even gives us his top four selections you can't miss in your Lucky 15.

1:20 Sandown – Almoreb (5/1)
A handicapper we certainly haven’t seen the best of is Almoreb. He won nicely at Newbury on his penultimate start before enjoying another decent effort when fourth at this track. The drop of a furlong should benefit him, and I think he can run a big race.

1:50 Sandown – Muthmir (6/1)
It is a tough ask for William Haggas’ experienced sprinter to take this but I do think he could. He ran very well when fourth in the Kings Stand, and that form is massively strong. He seems to be in very good shape, and in good form too. I have no reason to believe the penalty will effect him too much.

2:25 Sandown – George William (7/1)
A handicapper I am desperate to see win is George William, and I hope there is no room for yet another hard luck story. He was short of room when second at Ascot’s Victoria Cup, only then to be given the worst possible draw in the Royal Hunt Cup. He will win one of these.

3:15 Haydock – Brorocco (15/2)
One handicapper who I am certainly following is Brorocco, and he is just now beginning to show his true colours. He ran a great race at Chester to finish second, before an unlucky fifth place finish at Epsom on Derby weekend. He didn’t get the clearest of passages, and I am expecting a better run with more luck.

3:35 Sandown (Eclipse) - Barney Roy (3/1)
This is a fascinating renewal of the Eclipse, and I cannot wait to watch it! I am a big Barney Roy fan, and I do think if he can last the trip he could win it. Eminent is maybe another I would be tempted by, but I do think Richard Hannon's colt is a great horse and could be good enough in this.

Magical Memory drops down in class after failing to beat a rival at Royal Ascot

3:50 Haydock – Magical Memory (6/4)
I am very surprised at the price you can get for Magical Memory in this race. He is a brilliant sprinter, and you can look at plenty of pieces of form to see that. It’s still a mystery why he ran so poorly at Royal Ascot, and this is a good bit of race planning by the team. I expect him to be far too good, and set up a date with those big summer sprints.

4:15 Leicester – Accento ew (10/1)
A nice prospect for Hugo Palmer, who will need to put a disappointing effort behind him to take this. He showed a fair bit of promise as a two-year-old, but could only beat one rival when last seen at Chelmsford. In this weak race he can run well, I do like Cheerfilly too.

4:40 Sandown – Frontispiece (6/5)
In this average handicap, I do think the exciting Frontispiece can add a third straight success. Sir Michael Stoute’s unbeaten two time winner, enjoyed a narrow success at this track last month but beat some good types that day. This field is far less strong, and he should win quite well.

5:30 Haydock – Baashiq (10/3)
After a very impressive victory at Redcar I have been looking forward to seeing this horse over a middle distance. He won narrowly, but workmanlike when beating a good Godolphin type. The horse he beat, Maghfoor, has improved the form when winning next time out; so I have no doubts about Baashiq’s inexperience. This a competitive contest, and he does make his first start back, but I like him a lot.

1:50 Yarmouth – Arbalet (Evs)

A nicely bred Hugo Palmer colt who should be much better after making his debut at York. Finishing second at Yorkshire, his debut run was massively encouraging and should run a big race. He’s brilliantly bred, and has all the makings to progress into a group horse. He’s rated very highly, and looks like one who’ll run a stormer.

2:30 Haydock – Vj Day (7/2)

An American bred colt for Kevin Ryan who should be up to winning at this level. His fifth place debut effort was respectable, but I would be confident he can run much better than that.

3:30 Haydock – Falcon’s Vision (11/8)

I expect David Simcock’s Falcon’s Vision is another who should improve from a strongly run debut effort. He finished fourth on debut, in a race with very strong form. Natural is a top horse, Time Change and Silca Mattress have won since. I expect a very strong showing from him.

7:15 Epsom – Storm Cry (7/2)

A nice sprinter for Mark Johnston who looks set for a handicap success after a number of close efforts. The three-year-old finished second behind a good horse in Cartographer and hasn’t been raised by the handicapper for that effort. He should be good enough to come on for that run, and may utilise his current mark.

Wednesday's Best Bets: I hope nobody can Beat That

3:30 Thirsk – Laughton (16/1) ew

I spoke to Kevin Ryan a few months back, and he does think a good bit about Laughton. He even thinks he can follow in the steps of star sprinter Brando. If he is that promise, he ought to run well in this competitive contest. He likes the fast ground, and struggled on soft at this track back in May, and always seems to go well over six. His handicap mark is fair, and although this is a strong race I expect him to go well.

4:40 Perth – Beat That (8/11) NAP

A horse that I’ve liked, and a horse who I’m sure many do too. Beat That was a brilliant novice hurdler for Nicky Henderson winning the two Grade One prizes at Aintree and Punchestown. The likes of Don Poli, Cole Harden and even National second The Last Samuri have been behind him. On his chasing debut he didn’t run too badly when beaten by Brother Tedd. That form is surprisingly strong, with the winner unlucky not to win a big prize at Newton Abbot last time out. He should be better today, and I’m expecting him to record a maiden victory over fences.

5:00 Thirsk – Tribal Conquest (11/8)

This Godolphin colt is an absolutely massive price to break his maiden in Yorkshire, and I fully expect him to do so. He cost the boys in blue a huge price, and is from a successful family with a winning dam. He’s got track experience when a strong running second on debut, beaten by a horse I like an awful lot called Afaak. His opponent is out of a 1000 Guineas winner, and had racecourse experience but he was just over two lengths behind. He’ll come on a lot for that, and looks the class act in the field.

6:40 Kempton – Billesdon Brook (4/6)

A horse who I have always rated highly, but never quite got there is Billesdon Brook. She’s finished third, before recording two second place efforts. Once again she has strong claims, and I do think there is more to come from this exciting filly.

Tuesday's Best Bets: It's not the Weekend, but be an Offender

Yesterday Tippin’ Jimmy picked out three selections… all of them won! He’s got four for us for this competitive Tuesday card.

2:30 Hamilton – New Delhi (9/1)

After three promising efforts I would fancy Mark Johnston’s three-year-old to strike in her handicap debut. She was last seen running well in a maiden, taking a big step forward to finish third at Beverley. The promise can be built on, and if she takes to handicapping can run a big race.

3:30 Hamilton – Weekend Offender (3/1)

This is a handicapper on the up, and I expect him to make his second start of the season a winning one for Kevin Ryan. The four-year-old ran a great race on his seasonal reappearance, to chase home top handicappers GK Chesterton and George William at Nottingham. The form of that race has worked out exceptionally strong, and he hasn’t been raised by the handicapper.

8:50 Stratford – The Black Squirrel (11/4)

Warren Greatrex is represented by The Black Squirrel who makes his rules debut after an encouraging second in a point-to-point contest. He wasn’t beaten too far that day, and should improve from that effort. His trainer has a great record in these types of races and can progress this horse into winning ways.

9:00 Gowran Park – Frima (9/5)

After two good runs I expect this daughter of the great Frankel to break her maiden. She finished third on debut at this track when only beaten a length, before going one better to finish second to a good horse at Fairyhouse. She is gradually improving, and with excellent pedigree should be more than up to taking this maiden event.

Monday's Best Bets: Start your week Intrepidly

Tippin’ Jimmy gives us his three best bets on Monday’s card around the UK. Can he continue his NAP winning streak.

6:45 Hamilton – Kalagia (9/4)

Kalagia was backed in massively on debut, but could only finish third at Ripon. He’s brilliantly bred with strong sprinting pedigree running through the family. Undoubtedly he will improve a lot from his debut, and if he can live up to his market promise on debut I’d expect a very strong performance. Palmer is the debut, but I just believe Mark Johnston's two-year-old is a bit more exciting. I do believe he can break his debut.

7:30 Windsor – Intrepidly NAP (9/4)

A nice prospect for Jeremy Noseda whose only visited the racecourse on three occasions. He stepped up from an encouraging debut to win a maiden in good style at Kempton. He beat some good prospects that day. On his seasonal bow he finished fourth at Sandown, but probably needed the run that day and should be better this time out. The additional furlong works in his favour, and this doesn’t look the hottest of races. I’d expect him to take a fair bit of beating.

8:15 Hamilton – Qaviy Cash (9/4)

Hugo Palmer’s three-year-old seems to be improving, and could now strike after an improved effort at Kempton last time out. That was a strongly run race, and he beat some good prospects that day. Although he hasn’t shown much on turf, he may benefit from the switch back. He’ll improve significantly from that run, and his long trip to Scotland should be rewarded against hardly the best field.

Sunday's Best Bets: It feels wrong, but I am supporting Chelsea

After three consecutive NAP winners, and four wins from eight tips, can Tippin’ Jimmy keep the winners coming. His big selection comes from Windsor.

2:40 Windsor – Valcartier (7/4)

A beautifully bred prospect for John Gosden and Godolphin, and one who should be up to winnint this contest. He broke his maiden in very convincing style, and his mark of 90 is quite low considering the manner in which he defeated the field. He’s bred to be very good, and should be up to winning what doesn’t look the strongest of handicaps.

3:40 Windsor – Chelsea Lad NAP (2/1)

This is one of a few horses I am desperate to keep backing, I think he’s going to be really good. He’s had his issues with injuries, and is very ground dependant, but has plenty of ability. He’s got a very nice handicap mark, and he will surely beat it each time he visits the racecourse. He was last seen running well at York, and in this easier race he should take all the beating. He’ll love the bit of cut in the ground, and will bully on this handicap mark.

4:25 Cartmel – Lofgren (9/4)

An improving type for Donald McCain who seems to be good enough to take this. He’s won two races this year, both in good style and finished second at Aintree when last seen. He needed a longer trip that day, which he gets. It should benefit him significantly, and having ‘A P Heskin’ next to his name is another huge positive.

Saturday's Best Bets: I can't stop looking at this Model

After two successful NAP wins, Tippin’ Jimmy returns with his best bets on Saturday’s racing in the UK and Ireland.

2:00 Curragh – Battle Of Jericho (11/4) , US Navy Flag (9/1)

Aidan O’Brien has two very nicely bred colts here, both with big chances. Battle Of Jericho finished third on debut and should progress into a very nice colt in the future, he will break his maiden soon and that day could be today. US Navy Flag is another I am waiting on, he will be winning soon, and is capable of picking up some each-way money.

3:00 Newcastle – London Prize (5/2)

I actually previewed this race for the newspaper, and I can’t deny I was absolutely blown away by London Prize. I do believe this horse is very classy, and I do think he would’ve done well in the Northumberland Plate. His mark is well-below how good he is, and I expect him to win.

4:15 York – White Rosa (11/4)

In a tight maiden contest I’m expecting a big run from White Rosa for Hugo Palmer. The three-year-old is bred very well, and finished second on debut at Thirsk in what looked a very promising effort. She should take a significant step forward, and could break her maiden.

4:40 Curragh – Murillo (2/1)

I have picked quite a few of Aidan O’Brien’s but I do think Murillo is one that will run very well. After winning a maiden well he finished a close third in a very strong Coventry, that form is massively strong and I do think he can run a huge race here.

Andre Fabre's Waldgeist (red) can make amends after a narrow defeat in the French Derby.

5:20 Curragh – Waldgeist (3/1)

In what looks a very good Irish Derby I’m expecting the French raider Waldgeist to relish the step up in trip and run a big race. He was last seen going very close to French Derby success, only to be touched off on the line. The conditions should suit, and I think he’ll run well.  

6:25 Doncaster – Model (7/2) NAP

I’ve heard some very good vibes about Model. She makes her debut this evening, and has to be fancied to run a good race. Although lacking experience she’s from a good family, with good breeding running through the family. It’s not easy to win first time out, but she has the class to do so.

7:10 Lingfield – Special Purchase (9/4)

Another newcomer who I believe can win on debut is Special Purchase. He didn’t cost that much, but he’s from a very good family with the dam placing in a graded contest in America and he’s out of Scat Daddy. William Haggas has a good record here, and he may well extend that today.

7:25 Doncaster – Loving (3/1)

A nice filly for William Haggas is Loving who makes her first start of the season. She made a promising debut, before winning at maiden level in good style. She last seen in a listed contest only finishing ninth, which was on unfavourable fast ground. It’s not an easy ask to win first time out, but she should run well.
